We compare the needs a product serves before deciding whether to recommend it.

Fit comes first

Dimensions, usable capacity, care, setup, and everyday controls matter more than a styled photograph. We identify who an option may suit and where its limitations could become a problem.

A claim needs a source

Product details should come from the manufacturer, manual, documented measurement, or another suitable source. The exact variant and checked date belong in the evidence record. Missing information is a question to resolve, not a fact to invent.

A checklist is not a test

The current buying guide explains how to compare lamps; it does not rank individual models or claim testing. Product-specific cards and purchasing links will be added when the product evidence and approved merchant links are verified.

Before a recommendation goes live

The editor checks evidence, rights, merchant approval, disclosure, and the mobile reading experience. Commission rates do not decide the ranking. We do not copy retailer ratings into an editorial score.
